The Workers League Whitstable are proud to welcome Chef Will Bowlby from celebrated modern Indian restaurant Kricket, on Saturday 19th March 2022, for a 3 course fire-cooked Indian banquet.

Will’s trio of Kricket restaurants in London offer playful, interesting and accessible modern Indian food. Will became interested in food when he was around ten years old (‘I think it was Jamie Oliver that got me going’), and by the time he was sixteen he’d set up a one-man catering company that paid his way through university and some travelling. After cooking for legendary chef Rowley Leigh at Le Café Anglais Will took a position at a European restaurant in Mumbai and his love with Indian food began.

On returning to the UK he opened the first Kricket, a modern Indian restaurant, using traditional methods such as live fire, but with plenty of British twists.

There will be only one sitting and tickets are strictly limited.

If you have allergies or intolerances please make sure to read the menu carefully as unfortunately it’s not possible to make changes or substitutions to the dishes on the menu. Tickets are sold in advance, and food prepared specifically for each diner so refunds for cancellations can only be made up to 3 days before the event. Tickets cancelled after this point will be offered to the waiting list but if not re-sold cannot be refunded. The dining room at The Workers is predominantly large tables, so whilst we will sit couples together and endeavour to place large groups on the same table, please be aware there may need to be some table sharing.
