About Strumpshaw Steam Rally 2024
There are around 50 working Steam Engines, 60 working Miniature Steam Engines, all of which take part in parades in the grand ring, along with vintage tractors, classic cars and motorbikes. There are static displays of military vehicles, stationary engines, fire engines, vintage equipment, and vehicles.
There are many outside trade stands and craft stalls and models in the museum, catering and a bar. The museum train ‘Jimmy’ will be chugging round the Narrow-Gauge Railway track all over the weekend. We also have heavy horse and working dog displays.
There is a wonderful travelling fair which delights the old and the young with their beautifully painted Gallopers, swing boats and much more.
The museum is included in your entry fee, where you will find more steam engines, vintage tractors and cars alongside the 100-ton working Beam Engines, 1930s Fairground ride, Mechanical Organs, and Memorabilia. The Christie Cinema Organ will be playing at intervals throughout the day. There is a gift shop for souvenirs and mementos. The cafeteria is open and ideal for cups of tea, coffee, and soft drinks with a selection of cakes and pastries.
Come to Strumpshaw Steam Rally for a day out you will not forget, under 16s and car parking is free. Dogs on leads are welcome at the event and in the museum.
