We continue our celebration of the 150th anniversary of Holst’s birth with his beautiful 6 Songs, Op.16.

In what promises to be a feast of gorgeous melodies, mezzo-soprano Maria Waszyrowska also includes enchanting songs from her native Poland, alongside more familiar compositions by Mahler, Copland, Massenet and Bizet. Special guest, Claire Davis will perform Rachmaninov’s ever popular Vocalise and a delightful arrangement of Szymanowski for cello and piano.
