About Turn of the Tide
Turn of the Tide is a tale set on Christmas Eve, about a self-made business magnate, Reginald Rushmore.
He was inspired to succeed in life by an article he read as a young boy about Holy Island. But it was the Castle there that really fired his imagination, and believing that he had distant royal lineage, saw himself as a future king with land and property aplenty. And so, it came to pass. And his kingdom was along the east coast of England, where holiday makers merrily filled their buckets with sand, and he, his pockets with money.
But alas, he should have paid more attention to that natural resource which had so generously provided him with a living. He had a mighty benefactor; the sea, but the sea is as capable of taking away a fortune, as it is providing it. That one-time Reginal Rushmore finally made it to Holy Island, proved to be an experience that brought his whole life journey before him. The tide had indeed, turned….
