About Perth Highland Games 2026
Perth Highland Games is one of the most popular events in the Scottish Highland Games calendar, and in 2026 we're celebrating 200 years since our local games began!
The day features the traditional Heavyweight competitions that Highland Games are famous for, including throwing the hammer, putting the weight and tossing the caber. Alongside the strength events, there is Highland Dancing, pipe band performances and a programme of running and cycling races.
Visitors can also explore a wide range of trade stands and enjoy the food court, offering plenty of options throughout the day.
We've got an exciting Pipe Band competition, bringing even more music and atmosphere to the arena, plus Scottish Medieval knights fighting in their arena in full suits of armour and real weapons - not to be missed!
We are also hosting the Ardblair Stones, giving spectators the chance to see, AND TAKE PART IN, one of Scotland’s toughest strength challenges up close. The Ardblair Stones are a series of nine reinforced concrete spheres ranging from 18kg to 152kg. Competitors must lift each stone onto whisky barrels in the fastest time possible, testing both strength and endurance.
Don't miss it!
