About Great Trethew Vintage Rally
Great Trethew Vintage Rally takes place at Horningtops, 23rd-25th August, between Liskeard & Looe in South East Cornwall. The rally is a fantastic affordable family day out on the August Bank Holiday weekend. Held over three days with a variety of exhibits and displays, including classic cars, tractors, motorcycles, classic camping, stationary steam engines, horticultural machinery, military & commercial vehicles.
The event features tractor pulling, demonstrations, working horses, tractor taxis, show ring parades, dedicated children’s area, dog show, live music and entertainment for all ages.
Visitors can also enjoy trade stands, a craft marquee, refreshments and a licensed bar with live music on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Field camping is available for one to three nights, that includes entrance for two adults
The rally is a not-for-profit event organised and run by volunteers donating its profits back to local organisations and charities.

Public Camping 2025
We are offering basic field camping for the duration of the rally from Friday 22nd August from 3pm on a per night basis. Portable toilets are available on site but there are no showers or electric hook ups. The rally field is sloped so the use of levelling ramps is recommended. Water and waste disposal point is available in the camping field.
Camping Tickets include entry for 2 Adults on a '1 Day Entry for every 1 Night Camping' basis. E.g. If you booked Saturday Night, two Adults would gain entry to the show for one day. If you booked Saturday Night and Sunday Night, two Adults would gain entry for two days.
If you require further entry, such as Children, then please purchase entry tickets for them when you order your camping.
Check in and out times are flexible (although you will be asked for an estimated time of arrival when you book).

Public Camping Ticket T&C’s 2025
CAMPING: All camping pitches must be booked in advance and all vehicles arriving at the rally site must have a camping pass visibly displayed on their vehicle or electronic ticket available to show at the gate. Failure to display this pass will result in access being denied or delayed. Users of the campsite must report to the holding area where they will be shown to their allocated pitch by the Campsite Steward. All vehicles are restricted to 5 mph after leaving the highway. It is recommended that each unit will be equipped with a fire blanket/extinguisher. Users of the campsite must remove their own waste. All wastewater must be collected in a suitable container for disposal and not be allowed to run over ground.
Chemical toilets and wastewater must be disposed of in the facilities provided for this purpose.
All pets must be kept on a lead (no more than 2m in length) Children must be supervised at all times.
BARBECUES & FIREPITS: Strictly no barbecues or fire pits are permitted on the Rally site & camping field.
NAKED FLAME APPLIANCES: Camping gas cookers which are designed to heat water and cook safely are permitted. They MUST be used correctly and should be fixed on a firm non-flammable surface. Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause headaches, nausea, dizziness and drowsiness and can quickly kill in high concentrations.
NEVER use a fuel-burning device to heat your tent/caravan
NEVER run a generator inside a tent/caravan or allow the fumes to blow inside
DON’T cook inside your tent, unless there is plenty of ventilation
DON’T rely on a carbon monoxide detector to keep you safe – they should only be used as a back-up
SEEK medical advice as soon as possible if you think there might be a problem.
GENERATORS: Users of petrol generators must have an appropriate fire extinguisher and fire blanket. Generators and electrical equipment brought to site must be installed and certified by a competent person prior to use.
NOISE: No noise will be permitted after 11.00pm until 7.00am each day. Failure to comply will result in you being asked to leave the site. The use of generators should not cause any inconvenience to fellow campers.
SAFETY POLICY: A copy of the Safety Policy for the Rally will be available to view. Please contact the Rally H&S officer. In the event of an emergency call 999, Security personnel and Medical assistance will also be on site for the duration of the rally and available 24 hours in the case of emergency.
The Rally committee reserves the right to ask any exhibitors to vacate the rally field if they are found to be breaching any of these conditions of booking. By purchasing camping you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Great Trethew Vintage Rally.
No refunds will be made to any persons asked to leave the rally site.
