About Nurture Nature

Head to HEART for lots of short films that cover a range of different topics all to do with nature and the environment.

Doors are at 1PM, films start at 1.15PM and all the films should finish around 3:30PM but as these are shorts, if you want to dip in and out to go to the cafe or some fresh air then that’s all good.

There will be a PAYF raffle on the day too which will be cash/card.

First set of films:

-Praise Song To An Acorn (2 minutes) - lyrical narration explores themes of potential, growth, transformation, and the cyclical nature of life.

-The Man of the Trees (18 minutes) - Daniel as a child falls ill with polio but in over fifty years of activity he has given life to more than a million trees, without the use of his legs, he is able to follow his father in the family nursery, walking on his hands.

At the end, if it's sunny hopefully, please join me in a litter pick walk from HEART to the Brudenell, this in conjunction with Litter Free Leeds. When we get to the Brudenell please join me for a well needed drink after the walk. This is totally optional so don't feel like you have to do this but would be nice to have some company and all join together in order to do good for Leeds.

The films aren’t 18 and over but this event has been classified as 18 and over by the council so unfortunately anyone under 18 can’t attend.
