About Blackford Highland Games 2026

Join us for a day of Scottish tradition, athleticism and community spirit at Games Park, Blackford. Since 1870, the Blackford Highland Games has brought locals and visitors together each May to enjoy a full programme of heavy-athletic events (caber toss, hammer throw, shot put), track & field competitions, cycling, Highland dancing, piping, and more.

Gates open from 10:00am, with formal opening at 12:30pm when the pipe bands lead in the Chieftain. The day typically ends around 4:30pm.

Throughout the day, browse trade stands, enjoy refreshments, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
